yes this is getting confusing extract the phpbb files to the htdocs folder will show C:\xampp\htdocs\phpBB3\ visit here again : http://localhost/phpBB3/index.php the installer will pick up that phpBB3 is not yet installed and will take you here: http://localhost/phpBB3/install/index.php xampp.PNG ...

well I click this link (as the guide states) http://localhost/phpbb/install/install.php and I get an error message grrrr ;) click this one : http://localhost/phpBB3/index.php make sure you have the complete phpBB3 folder still named as is and all files with in it . what guide where im lost. htdocs is correct ,now you put a fresh copy of phpBB3 files in htdocs folder and visit
here : http://localhost/phpBB3/index.php

yes it will , in the 1st post stoker states 3.0.7 but little was changed in 3.0.7 PL iirc just security changes to feed settings.

goto admincp users and groups > manage groups > registered users > edit settings > Display group in legend: unclick the checkbox
then create your ravers group with same permissions as registered users
