registering problem

hi please can you help me i am getting a problem with my forum when people try to register they can go through the process and when they submit it gives an error message

Field 'user_from' doesn't have a default value [1364]

i know nothing about php or mysql as i had this website built by a webdesgn company and they have gone bust my version is 3.0.4 and when i try to update it in the forum admin i get so far and then that gives an error message to please can you help me as need to get this running ready for people to register to thank you for your help.

why don't you tell the webdesign company to update your site to the latest version, maybe that will get rid of the error!?

they have gone into liquidation and all support has gone with it they built the website its 99.8% complete and just gettings this error when you try register to the forum please if anybody knows how to fix it please help i know nothing on coding thats why i got it made for me and now this

if you have access to all your forum's files, ftp and database access, why don't you try to update the board yourself!?

tried updateing the forum like you said in the admin and it goes through the first couple of steps then errors out

well if you can't update, i don't really know of a sql query to fix that maybe someone else knows!
