I have removed some of the cache in 1.0.8

There was a problem with the cache that caused topic titles to be displayed in forums were the user had no permissions.

Dont worry, you dont have to overwrite the template files

1.0.8 installed now so i missed 1.0.7

Yes, run the installer to update the database.
Its only updating the version number. But you should do it anyway.

Overwrote all the files......ran the update......If I choose not to show Most viewed topics & Most replied topics..all's well. If I chose 1-2-3-4 or 5.........5 show...regardless of the setting...(worked before the update)

Did you overwrite all other files than the template files?

Since the results are cached you will need to purge the cache when editing:
Most active users
Last visited bots
Last registered users
or just wait until the cache expires.
