How do I get the facebook external hit bot to come up in the active users list, instead of guests...

you could try to go to the developers website at facebook and see what details you can find!

Go to where you normally add bots in your ACP.
Name: Facebook [Bot]
Agent match: facebookexternalhit
That's it
