guide to installing phpBB3 for the 1st time

1st off this is a guide to install phpbb3 for the 1st time using ftp client method only if your host has a system in place where you can install phpBB3 via your hosts control panel with a system like installertron then you still need to learn how to use a good ftp client as i dont know how they work,you need to make your self fimiliar with your hosts control panel to create a database and make sure you have correct the permissions needed to access the database and files stored on the server,via file transfer protocol client, as its the only way i know and the fastest way in my opinion.
in most of my control panels on my host,s i have a section that allows me to create database,s like the pic below and i create them in 'my sql databases' highlighted with a green circle below.

The file transfer protocol client i use is filezila link >> http://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client <<
requirements
critical account information from you and your is host needed ,have this ready or done before we attempt to install a phpbb3 forum
1.domain name(web-site name), with nameservers parked at your host,needs tobe done and resolved over the internet b4 we go .
1.database,database version ,database username and password.
1.ftp account,user name and password (with access to your main files or at least /public_html/
1.email account
1.set of the latest phpBB3 stable realease software filles downloaded from here http://www.phpbb.com/downloads/
you now should be good to go ?
Please extract/unpack the phpbb3 archive folder downloaded from phpbb.com/downloads onto your desktop
now start your ftp client and navigate to your ./public_html/ folder and in there you upload the files from inside phpbb3 folder

*some servers require ./public_html/afolder/
this is to prevent deleting or over writing the servers main .htaccess file
Now navigate to your web site example http://www.example.com/install/index.php
We are now at the install screen this is the start of your new phpBB3 forum,please understand we need these details about the database and version etc,

When you have proceeded to the next page at the botttom of the next screen will show if the files and folders are set with the correct level of permissions to proceed to the next step as you can see mine are not.

We will need you to change the file permissions via the ft protocol client i set mine at 777 for the time being.once this done test again

As you can see we have green light to proceed to the next stage in your new phpBB3 forum (im not worryed at this point about images/gallery/upload/ we can change this later)
