Viewtopic Descending

Hello,
Is there a template variable or can I change something in the Viewtopic.php file so that I can display all topics within a specific forum in descending format. (regardless of the users chosen setting).
The topics(posts) themselves not the topic list. I just need something where I can put for example:
If forum_id = 2 then display all posts in descending format. But I cant find a template variable so I think I will need to change something in the Viewtopic.php file but dont know what
Im using PHPbb 3.0.5
