Just found this solution and thought I would post it here for those of you that use adsense.

You need at least 1 adsense ad to make it work.
Doesn't work on mobile devices ATM

We are trying this out now. Although most of our traffic is from mobile devices, every little bit helps, if someone actually sees it beneficial to disable their adblocker on our site. It could be that people automatically use adblockers everywhere and don't think about disabling it even there might be a good reason for it. At least I hope someone will do that when they see that message

I am displaying a loading gif as bg image for the ad area.
You can also show some text. There are several ways to deliver a message for adblockers. But as you mentoin no blockers for mobile devices.
I didnt find any
