Folks I have searched through the phpBB. com website to get an answer but can't find anything that ties into my problem. I have asked constantly at my Avalon theme designers website STSoftware.biz for support or a helping hand (Newbie) and still no reply. phpBB. com don't seem to understand I am new to coding and such and am just looking for a little help. Anyways heres my problem folks... I have created a poll on my forum but my Registered Users dont seem to be able to vote? When I say "dont" I mean we all can vote no problem but the poll isn't registering our votes and all poll options show 0%. I tested the Poll out by switching to Subsilver2 in ACP and the poll works great so I again upgraded to the very latest Avalon style and YES the poll works fine... BUT... all my last years worth of addon mods and little changes to customise my forum have been lost and I dont have the skills or patience to start over by replacing coding again to get my mods back, plus I wouldn't remember where to get my mods again as they were taken from various sites. Anyway getting back to the point, I reinstalled my old version Avalon theme to get my mods and stuff back and as expected my poll stop working again, I was wondering if there is something I can change (script / coding) or something I can copy from the latest Avalon style into my old version to get my poll to work again on old Avalon? if so can anyone tell me where to start? I know Avalon isn't supported here really but you guys are my last resort as I have already emailed, PM'd and even joined the Avalon creators website and posted the message but no-one tends to reply! I am really getting desperate folks, else I wouldn't even have bothered asking for help here regarding Avalon / Polls. I just don't know where to start! Obviously I know I need to compare my old Avalon package with the new but thats all I know I'm not asking anyone to do this for me, I just want someone to set me of in the correct direction and help or tell me what is the least I should change, edit to get my forum polls to work in my old Avalon with phpBB 3.0.7PL1 instead of upgrading to the latest Avalon theme and loosing all my mods. Anyone shed some help I would be so very much grateful.
As you probably have guessed you need to update your avalon style to 3.0.7-PL1
Find out what version the avalon style is and go here to download the codechanges: http://www.phpbb.com/downloads/olympus. ... 0.7&code=1
The package includes subsilver2 update instructions. Use them to update the style.
Its going to take some time, but there is no easy way out of this.
Thats the most sensible and most helpful reply I've had, thanks Stoker, the guys over at phpBB. com just dont seem to want to help newbies these days! Thanks again Stoker, just need to find out what version of the Avalon style I have because I dont seem to be able to find a version number anywhere within the ACP or the style itself.
