Hi there, I'm also looking for something like mentioned in this conversion.

Sorry, but I think you're missing some intresting point's on this posibility.

If a MOD catches the information send by paypal and organises the donaters into groups, it would not only be possible to create different groups with different access to different spaces in the board.
First of all it would mean that it's a posibility to create a kind of verified users, because if the user does have a verified status in paypal the board also can stats him a verified status.
That means that the paypal payment is not only about "earning" money.

It's using even a donation of one cent to verify the user as a real person with all the aspects this fact could enhance for a board.

Perhaps it's worth to think about that.

and of course, I am not mentioning the posibility to combine paypal paiments with ups, no I don't

Its still very easy to add the user to the donators group manually after a donation

The username is included when a donation is made.
