The line after the avatar

Hello,
I tryed the welcome with a background colour (green)

and I would like to understand why the white vertical line which is on the right side of the avatar does not go until down like the second one.

Hi,
I did not found where the "problem" comes.
I just deleted the green background and now the line is invisible

If you mean looking the page index.php, yes it's the same.
