hi can i use bbcodes anywhere in the portal?

i want to embed facebook and twitter widgets

Nope, not bbcodes.
But you can use html in the template file instead.

i have figured it out somewhat ,

i have edited the simpleportal_body.html file

i have one widget in now but i need to figure out how to put another one to the right of it

Use float.
Wrap the boxes in a divs. One float:left; and one float:right;

can u tell me how to make the box containing the twitter widget smaller?
