Newly reg'd users by default??

I have clicked to set newly reg'd users as default, but when I have new members come onto my forum they still get put in registered users, but I want them to go into newly reg'd users...



How would this be resolved.

So let me get this straight you clicked on User registration settings > and Set Newly Registered Users group to default: yes ?
and a new member doesnt go into that group at all ? or you want them tobe removed from the Registered members group at the same time ?

It would appear that they go straight into the reg'd users group rather than staying in the newly reg'd users group.... I want to get it so that, new members of my board are in newly reg'd users until I have apporved their introductions... the reason for this is because I've had spambots going into my forum and just dumping irrelevant ads on there, I've set so members in the newly reg'd group can only post in the intros sect, until they have made an intro, once they have done that, I will then move them to the reg'd users group where they have full posting access to the rest of the board.
